Afterward some deliberation, I decided to purchase this on Amazon rather than a match of Polk’s 10-inch versions. I seen it at BB and considered it was very closely and controlled. I listen most only to music and only wanted something to fill in the lower registers. This sub complements well my new Yamaha nx-e400 bookshelf speakers (another under-recognized bargain!), which supposedly expire down to 55hz on their own. I set the crossover to most 85 hz and turned the volume on the sub to most halfway, and this combo fills my room with an most perfect mix of bass, midrange, and treble. If you’re only look for solid bass to assistant your bookshelf speakers with music, this sub is terrific!
