I purchased this roof rake with the extension. I bolted a doorway sweep (ace hardware, amazon sells) to the rake and utilisation it to clear leaves from the roof. Works well for this design and I stay on the ground. There is no shingle damage. I have not tried it with snow as yet. Garelick 89416 Snow Roof Rake
