I have been using walkman type radios since 9/11 almost daily for up to 5 hrs. I listen to talk radio and music. This is the smallest model I have had, and one of the best, if not the best. It fits easily in my pocket, and I can change stations/bands without removing it. The reception is very good, certainly in the top 2 of the radios I have used. I work in a building surrounded by metal cases, and Sony SRF-M97 Radio Walkman can be hard to pick up stations. This radio does the job, although one of my favorite stations sometimes fades a little when I turn in certain directions. It took me about 5 min to figure out how to add/change stations, but once I got it, it was very simple. Just press the wheel to change bands, and jog the wheel to change stations. Battery life is very good. It takes 1 AAA battery, and I am going on day 15 with an average of 4 hrs a day.The only minor point, (besides the minor reception issue), is that the volume wheel is next to the headphone connection, and a little hard for my large fingers to adjust. I am thinking about buying another and putting it away in case it’s not available when this one wears out.
