I recently bought one epson v700, plus get scanned over 1000 35mm negatives withy it. It does one superior job. It provides a really accurate reflection of the actual negative. The film tray is mere comfortable to familiarity. It is made of a sturdy plastic, plus is mere comfortable to load. I browse four strips placed at a time, each having approximately 4 or 5 negatives on them, then i usually get a total of 16 to 20 negatives scanned in each scanning session. I browse placed at 6400 ppi resolution, plus save the file as a “tiff” file to keep away from compression. I tried to browse placed at 6400 ppi to a jpeg file, however it would not do it placed at a 48 bit depth, then as i said i changed the setting to save as a “tiff” file plus i get the full 48 bit depth. I get a windows 7, 64 bit system, plus it takes approximately 70 seconds per each negative to be scanned using the settings i already mentioned. I do not familiarity the ice or any other setting since i want the raw file, plus the scanner does one superior job of presenting detail plus tone. If you want to extend the tone saturation placed at a later time, it does not come out fuzzy or anything, it solely adds the tone as needed. I am happy withy the scanner, i feel so epson is honest in saying it gives professional capability results. The dmax is 4 then it is a little more powerful than the v500, however the more detail it gives may be excellence it. The windows 7 drivers plus by hand are convenient on the epson site, that i had to download as my system, plus everything has been working fine. It is simple to operate, plus gives mere satisfying results. I tribute epson on creating such a product.
